St. Peter’s Choral Foundation is an exciting new project launched in 2021 to establish a cathedral-type choir in the heart of Bournemouth. It builds on 150 years of musical excellence at St. Peter’s, Bournemouth’s parish church.

Support the Foundation
The Choral Foundation CIO is an independent trust that provides funding for the Foundation’s work and outreach. We depend entirely on the generosity of trusts and individuals to fund our work.

Holy Week
Palm Sunday 24th March, 10.00am and 4.00pm
Maundy Thursday 28th March, 7.00pm
Good Friday 29th March, 12.00pm and 2.00pm
Lent comes to a dramatic close as we follow the story of Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem, his betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion.
Including plainsong and music by Stanford, Farrant, Batten, Anerio, Darke, Ola Gjeilo, Bairstow, Victoria and Palestrina.
Easter Sunday
Sunday 31st March 2024, 10.00am and 4.00pm
The desolation of Holy Week is wiped away by the joy of the Resurrection, celebrated at dawn on Bournemouth beach, and at the 10am Sung Eucharist and 4pm Choral Evensong.
Including music by Henry Walford Davies, George Woodward, Josef Haydn, Samuel Sebastian Wesley, Thomas Tertius Noble, and C.V. Stanford.
