Auditions
Lay clerkship auditions
St. Peter’s has created an exciting new opportunity for accomplished singers. From Spring 2025, there will be eight paid lay clerkships available. These roles will give the opportunity to sing a wide range of choral repertoire at a high standard to enhance the worshipping life of the church.
The lay clerks will normally sing as an SATB octet or as lower voices (ATB) with the choristers. Successful candidates will be experienced, trained singers, able to contribute to the ensemble and as soloists in a wide range of musical styles. We also plan for the lay clerks to give concerts and sing for occasions as a professional vocal ensemble.
