All Souls Choral Requiem

Thursday 2nd November, 7.00pm

A service to support all those who are bereaved and to remember those we love and see no longer. The setting will be Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem Op.48, sung by the girls and adults of the choir.

In this service on the Feast of All Souls, we remember with thanksgiving the people we love who have died. The Commemoration of the departed on All Souls’ Day celebrates the saints in a more intimate way than All Saints’ Day. It allows us to remember with thanksgiving before God those whom we have known directly – those who gave us life, or who supported and encouraged us on life’s journey or who nurtured us in faith.

During this service, everyone is invited to bring the names of loved ones departed, and to light a prayer candle as our individual commendation to God of those whom we remember but see no more. To send the names of loved ones to be read out during the service, please email the Parish Office at btcp@live.co.uk

During the service, there will a collection in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally, a BCP-based charity that we have personal links with.
